B/H = (F + D)/(V + D)

For B = 3, H = 2 and F = .576 sec, Shannon's proportion

simplifies to: 3/2 = (.576 + D)/(V + D)

3 V + 3 D = 2 (.576) + 2 D

3V + D = 1.152 sec.
