Students Can Check Speed Of Vehicles

if they know the distance between telephone poles or other landmarks.




A Video Tape Played Back At 30 Frames Per Second

will help you determine the traffic speed. Flow rates such as number of vehicles per minute, pedestrians per minute or number of bikers per minute can be determined from video taped school opening and closing times. It is nice to know the peak flow rates to determine safety conditions.
