Show that this equation is not the same hyperbola as:

x²/930.25 - y²/237.16 = 1
when rotated 45 degrees. Hint: Let cot 2α = (A-C)/B = 0/1 = 0 For:

A x² + B x y + C y² + D x + E y + F = 0
Then show that: sin α = cos α = (1/2)^(1/2)

Show by matrix multiplication that:

Gives:
x₁² - y₁² = 72 NOT x² - 3.92245741272 y² = 930.25 .
Therefor : x y = 36. is wrong.
