Here are some of the ideas we came up with at our Wednesday night meeting-
1. Blues Brothers skit- A couple different people would dress up like the Blues Brothers and yo-yo together with the theme music in the background.
2.Olympics skit- One person would juggle five Olympic colored rings. After a minute or so he/she would throw the rings into five different areas of the room. At each different colored ring would be a different activity. The students would already have a piece of paper with one of the five colors on it. Each student would go to his/her select color to participate in the activity. Some ideas we had for activities were: hula-hooping, ball tossing (juggling), skipping rope, skip-it with a hula-hoop, and yo-yoing.
3.Miming theme- A couple of people can dress in all black with white gloves and white painted faces. We would use the mimes to introduce activities and possibly put on their own skit.
4.Juggling skit, Bill could enter in a top hat and suit to introduce the class and himself. All the while juggling to make the show have a circus theme.
5.Clown theme- We could have clowns for the circus. They would be wearing bright outfits that demonstrate different geometric shapes such as parabolas, circles, spirals, and waves. We could make our own unique shirts with a white shirt and some puffy paint. Also we would have our faces painted like clowns.
6.Number skit- Bill may be juggling a one, two, and three billiard ball while two other stand behind him juggling small beach balls with the numbers one, two, and three on them. He then will ask the students to tell him what is the largest number he can make with the three numbers.
7. Waves skit- We will have the students line up in a straight line and we will have along rope running beside them. We will make different waves with the rope and ask the students to demonstrate the wave along with the rope.
These are some of the ideas we came up with at our meeting. If you have any new ideas or improvements on these ideas, please let Son, Laura, or Thadd know.
