Linear Functions

Linear Function is a function of the type f(x) = m x + b where m and b are constants.

m is the slope which is also thought of as the rate of change of f(x) per change in x or the speed if the function represents d = r t. b is the y intercept which is the point on the y axis where the graph of f(x) crosses over in other words f(0) = b.
