THE SIZE OF A STORE

The store building is a regular octagon. Find the dimensions of each of the eight triangles which comprise the roof of the building, and calculate the total surface area of the roof, given the following information:

The measure from the midpoint of each wall to the midpoint of its opposite wall (at ceiling level) is 26'. There is a 3' overhang (level measure) on all sides of the building. The pitch of the roof along the hip rafters is 12 run to 4 rise.
