Hello we are COOL!
Well, we are cool but it
actually stands for:
Calculus Operators Of Logic.

Our GOAL was to find the table of values used in the creation of the St. Louis Arch with the same accuracy as the original. We did this by using the equations the original mathematicians and engineers used in the creation of this great monument. While it took them a complete summer to do this task it took us only 1 week to do so. This is because we’re COOL. Actually, it was thanks to Microsoft’s Excel and this project experience.
This project has taught us a lot about hyperbolic functions and has given us a new
respect for the monument.
The monument is actually based on a hyperbolic function ideas -
NOT on a parabola as one might think.
