Miami, Florida, Near 80 Degrees West Longitude - 26 Degrees North Latitude

Miami, Florida is the place we chose to have Summer Olympics in 2012 because it has the features needed in order to have the Summer Olympic Sports.

Miami has a population of 1.8 million. There are alot of tourists in Miami, Florida. Miami would be a good place to have the Olympics because people want to visit Miami since there are good hotels, restaurants, beaches, boating, and the ocean are the places they can go when not at the Olympics. There are many, many hotels in the region. To rent a hotel it depends on what you want to pay: Econo 10$-30$, Buget 30$-50$ Value 50$-100$ Luxury over 100$. In the next year they are going to open six luxury hotels. There are many restaurants of all different types and price ranges which would make it an attractive city.

Because Miami is a tourist area due to the climate and nice warm beaches, there is a lot for people to do while they are attending or not attending the games. Location, accessability, number of hotels and restaurants, good climate and many existing areas to perform sports make Miami a great choice for the Olympics.

Miami has the following features: stadiums, arenas, lakes, ocean, trails, courts, tracks, swimming pools and more. The Gulf of Mexico is calmer which could also be used for different sports. An International airport and a sea port in Miami would allow many people to go in and out from many different countries.

The weather is ideal for the Summer Olympics as the temperature is in shape for April. If IOC (International Olympic Committee) can move Summer Olympics to September for Australia then IOC can move the Miami Summer Olympics to April. The average April temperatures run between 68 Min. to 83 Max. degrees Fahrenheit. You should not have the Olympics in May through August because that is when hurricane season occures.
